Dibble Dabble

Number of Players: 3+

This is a very popular game for the kids but can be equally enjoyed by adults. The game begins by one player hiding a small object at the bottom of the pool. Anything small will work but some examples are: a golf tee, a popsicle stick, a hairspray cap, a bottle cap, or a toothpick. While the “Dibble Dabble” is being hidden, all of the other players must be outside the pool. After the player finishes hiding the Dibble Dabble, all the remaining players search for the object—and THIS is when strategy comes in to play.

Sometimes you can fake players out by jumping into the pool even if the Dibble Dabble is nowhere in sight! Players may also choose to jump in the opposite direction of the Dibble Dabble. If you see a player going after the Dibble Dabble, it might be a good strategy to jump in and splash the water around so the player cannot grab the object first.

Once a player grabs the object, they must shout “Dibble Dabble!” and then the next round begins. The person who found the Dibble Dabble in the previous round will be the person to hide it for the upcoming round, and so on and so forth.

WARNING: Do not use goggles unless they are available to the rest of the players…may cause controversy. J
